Yes, you need to give IELTS besides GMAT, as most of the universities demand for IELTS band. This test is required to know your English skills in reading, writing and understanding so as to make sure weather you will be able to cope up with the studies in their university. Almost all the Australian and US universities demand the same.

Hi,
The competition is less as compared to CAT and XAT. GMAT opens the door for almost all the universities in abroad as well as top ranking universities in India. If you are planning to study MBA from abroad, then GMAT is the only option.
If you wish to study in India, you have to appear for CAT exam. If you belong to general category, then you will have to score above 710 marks to get into top universities of India.
Good luck.

It would be better if you join IELTS coaching because you will get to learn the exact pattern and have a good experience in writing. There will be teachers who will guide you better based on your performance. If your financial ability is good then go for it.

There is no upper cap. Depending on the pool of applicants, all or none can get in.

Hi Indu,
You can appear for the GMAT but if you want to apply for MBA programs abroad you must have work experience. Countries like US, Canada require 4-year undergraduate degree. Select the country first, do some more research on requirements, ask more questions and then decide.
