The admission requirements for the MBA programme at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies are that the candidates have to be graduates with 50% or above marks (45% specially-abled candidates). It is also important that they have passing records on GATE, CAT, MAT, CMAT or XAT because these will be taken into consideration during the selection of candidates. However, work experience in fields related to the job is not a prerequisite, although makes a good impression in case the applicant will firsthand face competition.

The cutoff for an MBA at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies is mainly linked to CAT, MAT, and CMAT examinations. For MAT and CMAT better chances are slightly higher with scores above 500 and the recent cutoffs often varying in the 60-70 percentile on CAT. Achieving or surpassing the aforementioned scores improves the likelihood of admission; however, the bar is not constant annually because of the fluctuations in the candidates' numbers and scores.
