The career growth of a Railway Protection Force (RPF) Sub Inspector (SI) is based on two main criteria. The criteria are work experience and performance, and inter-department.  The career growth hierarchy for an RPF SI is as follows: Sub-Inspector, Inspector, Circle Inspector, Zonal Inspector, and Deputy Superintendent. The RPF SI exam is conducted annually by the Ministry of Railways. The Railway Protection Force invites applications for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) of various zones. Selected candidates for the post of RPF SI are recruited in Level 6 of the 7th CPC pay matrix. 

The UPPCS Examination, generally known as PCS (Provincial Civil Service Exam) is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission in order to select and recruit candidates for the UP-state services. The ideal way to understand how to start preparation and how to prepare for UPPCS at home without any coaching is by having a thorough knowledge of its pattern, structure and syllabus. A genuine timetable ensures consistency. Reading newspapers provides exposure to the current affairs and general knowledge. Solving previous year’s question papers and mock tests provides an understanding and analysis of the topics. Revision is an essential component for better preparation.

RPF SI exam is conducted by the Ministry of Railways to select eligible male and female candidates for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspectors (SI) in Level 6 of 7th CPC in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Forces (RPSF) in various zones of Indian Railways. The cut-off marks of the RPF SI exam will be released along with the scorecard separately for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and final selection. To qualify the CBT, candidates need to secure the category-wise qualifying marks and overall RPF SI Cut off. There are no qualifying marks for PET/PMT, however, it is mandatory to qualify it. The cutoff is released separately for male and female candidates. 

Candidates before appearing in the RBI Grade B interview need to appear for the Psychometric Test. There are no marks for the Psychometric Test and it is not considered for final selection.  Psychometric Test is examined statically to measure the suitability and cognitive knowledge of the candidate for the job, hidden aspects of the candidate, real abilities and personality traits. Candidates with effective preparation and dedication can score good marks in this test. Candidates can take real online tests regularly with the regular mock tests. Get regular feedback on tests to identify your weakest area. Practice regularly for the Psychometric Test to improve weakest areas. Stay calm by breathing slowly and deeply while taking the psychometric test. Be honest and consistent while giving responses.
