SSC Stenographer exam paper comprises three sections-General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. The tst paper carries a total of 200 marks. The structure of the exam pattern is given below.

There are no sectional timings in SSC Stenographer exam. The duration of the CBT 1 exam is two hours. Candidates need to solve 200 questions in two hours. The total marks allotted to the CBT exam are 200.

A total number of 2006 Vacancies have been announced for the posts of Stenographer Grade 'C' (Group 'B', Non Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade 'D' (Group 'C') in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations.

SSC Stenographer admit card is not sent to candidates by post. Students have to download the admit card online. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required credentials.

The prep plan for SSC Stenographer General Awareness section are reading newspapers, creating notes and revision. The level of this section is moderate. Candidates must know the current affairs of last six months.

There are negative marking for wrong answers in the exam. 0.25 marks are deducted for wrong answers in SSC Stenographer exam. For correct answers, candidates score one mark.

In this section, candidates get questions from Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, and its correct usage, etc. Besides, the section tests a candidate's writing ability.

Candidates can edit/modify the application parameters through the application correction window. Candidates will be allowed to re-submit applications after making requisite corrections/changes in the one-time registration/online application data as per their requirements. The Commission will levy uniform correction charges of INR 200 for making correction and re-submitting modified/corrected application for the first time and INR 500 for making correction and re-submitting modified/ corrected application for the second time. The correction charges will be applicable to all candidates irrespective of their gender/category.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC Stenographer Exam annually to select candidates for Grade C and D Stenographer positions. The selection process comprises CBT and Skill Test. The notification is released every year by SSC.
