The distribution of vacancies is typically categorized based on communal reservations such as SC, ST, OBC, etc. The official notification provides detailed breakdowns of how many vacancies are reserved for each category. The distribution of vacancies depend on the post vacants in a department. The Commission follow the common reservation rules notified by the State Government from time to time.

TNPSC Group 2 vacancies include two main categories:

• Group 2 (Interview Posts): These positions require candidates to go through a preliminary exam, a mains exam, and an interview.
• Group 2A (Non-Interview Posts): These positions only require candidates to take a written test

The TNPSC Group 2 Exam 2024 has a total of 2327 vacancies which includes 507 vacancies for Group 2 (Interview Posts) and 1820 vacancies for Group 2A (Non-Interview Posts).

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced a total of 2327 vacancies for the TNPSC Group 2 and Group 2A posts in 2024. This includes 507 vacancies for Group 2 (Interview Posts) and 1820 vacancies for Group 2A (Non-Interview Posts).

The Commission conducted the TNPSC Group 2 Prelims exam on September 14, 2024. The Commission is expected to increase the number of vacancies till the declaration of final result.

The TNPSC Group 2 exam is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission to recruit the candidates for state administrative machinery. The candidates who are selected through the TNPSC Group 2 exam are required to serve anywhere in the state till their superannuation.

The andidates from other states can apply for the exam; however, they must meet the eligibility criteria set by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), including age and educational qualifications.

The candidates should note that the TNPSC Group 2 Answer Key (final) is prepared after considering all the valid objections received by the candidates and the review committee. After such due considerations, the Commission prepare and release the final answer key,

The Commission calculate the marks based on the final answer key and release such results. The validity of the Answer Key is bound by the Common law of Limitation. 

The documents required for the IES application include scanned images of photograph, signature and photo ID card. UPSC conducts the IES exam every year to recruit candidates for various specialised positions in the Union Government departments. The IES is a Central Civil Service and the candidates can be posted anywhere across the nation. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for engineering positions for the various departments working under the Government of India. The UPSC released the IES 2025 online applications on September 18, 2024. The candidates are required to fill out the IES 2025 online application form online only.
