The number of vacancies in UPPSC exams is inversely proportional to the cutoff marks. This means that an increase in the number of vacancies can reduce the cutoff marks, while a decrease in vacancies can increase the cutoff marks. The UPPSC PCS exam is conducted in three stages: prelims, mains, and interview, and the cutoff is released separately for each stage.
