The selection of candidates for UPPCL JE recruitment is done based on the Computer Based Test (CBT) and Document Verification. The online test is conducted in various cities of Uttar Pradesh to test the basic knowledge of the respective disciplines along with the basic aptitude of the candidate. This CBT exam test the proficiency in the Hindi language, basic intelligence, and general awareness the candidate along with deep subject knowledge of the discipline.

UPPCL JE exam has negative marking. O.25 marks are deducted for wrong answers in the exam. The marks of candidates are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. Candidates are also required to secure the qualifying marks in the exam. The qualifying marks are fixed by the examination authority.

UPPCL JE eligibility criteria is different for different posts:

Electrical Post

The age of candidates should be between 18 and 40 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is given to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (NCL), Ex-Servicemen, dependents of freedom fighters, physically handicapped, etc.

Candidates must have passed three years Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering offered by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad,  Uttar Pradesh or equivalent Diploma recognised by the State Government

The recruitment is conducted to select candidates for the post of Junior Engineer (Trainee) for Civil, Electrical, Electronics/Tele Communication, etc. posts. The candidates should note that there is no minimum marks that can be ascretained for the IAS. The final UPSC merit list is based on the marks secured in the main (written) and personlaity test condcuted at Dholpur House, UPSC. The Commission arrange the candidates in the order of their merit and select top candidates for the Indian Administrative Service if they have opted for it as their first choice. 

The minimum marks for IAS cannot be asertained as the cutoff for each year differs from year to year.
