Yes, the Staff Selection Commission prescribes syllabus for both SSC JE Paper 1 and Paper 2. The SSC JE exam has two stages that are mentioned below: SSC JE Paper 1 - Objective type SSC JE Paper 2 - Objective type. There is a negative marking in the SSC JE paper 1 and paper 2. The marks secured in the Paper 1 and 2 are counted for the final merit.

The Staff Selection Commission prescribes SSC JE syllabus. The SSC JE exam is conducted to recruit the engineering degree holders for the position of Junior Engineers. This is a specialist service exam where the graduate engineers of specific stream can apply for the post of Junior Engineer. The candidates selected in the SSC JE exam are appointed in the Central Government Departments and PSEs.

The SSC JE exam pattern has been revised, but major changes have not been seen in the syllabus of the SSC JE exam 2025. The exam continues to have two papers- Paper 1 (Ojective type) and Paper 2 (Objective type). Paper 1 determines the General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and General Engineering tendencies of the candidates. On the other hand, the Paper 2 tests the General Engineering of the candidates on specific engineering branch/displine-civil, mechanical and electrical.

SSC JE 2024 application was released on the official website ssc.gov.in on March 28, 2024. The candidates can fill out the application form from March 28, 2024 to April 18, 2024. The candidates were allowed to edit their application form from April 22 & 23, 2024. The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC JE 2024 Paper 1on June 5, 6, and 7, 2024. The steps to apply for the SSC JE exam is given below:

- Click on the online application link.
- Register for the exam.
- Fill the SSC JE online form.
- Pay the SSC JE application fee.
- Submit and save the confirmation page
