Empanelling of candidates in RRB Group D exam is done based on their performance in CBT, subject to their qualifying in PET. The appointment is offered to selected candidates provided they qualify the requisite medical fitness test and document verification. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, their merit position is determined by the age criteria. The letter of appointment is issued by the Railway Administrations. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. It may also be noted that all candidates successful in DV are sent for Medical Examination. Clearing of such Medical Examination by additional candidates (those called for DV beyond the notified number of vacancies) will give such candidates no right to be considered for appointment. Candidates may note that RRBs/RRCs only recommend names of the empanelled candidates and appointment is offered only by the respective Railway Administrations.

Candidates must have the scanned image of RBI Assistant handwritten declaration. The online applications are not processed unless the handwritten declaration is uploaded as directed. If the RBI Assistant handwritten declaration is wrong, the candidate's candidature may be disallowed. The result of RBI Assistant is announced separately for prelims and Mains exams in PDF form. The result displays the roll numbers of qualifying candidates. The scorecard is released few days after the declaration of the result. Candidates can download their scorecards by logging with the required credentials. The examination authority does not send any intimation regarding the declaration of the result. The hard copy of the result is not sent to candidates by post. The educational qualification for RBI Assistant has been given below for the candidates. The candidates who want to appear for the RBI Assistant exam must fulfill the educational qualification eligibility criteria for the RBI Assistant exam

• The candidates who want to appear in the RBI Assistant exam must have completed graduation
• The candidates have to secure the minimum percentage to appear for RBI Assistant exam

Candidates must have passed graduation from any discipline with 50 per cent. This percentage is relaxed for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Such candidates must have passed graduation with pass class. Candidates must have the knowledge of computers.
