IAS is focused on the administrative part of the job, but the IPS is more on the application and how to keep the peace in the society. Both the exams are held by UPSC, but both of them are different in their function. The purpose of the IAS, IPS is serving the nation directly or indirectly.

1. For aptitude, there are 2 sections. They are miscellaneous (aptitude) and calculation part. For miscellaneous RS Agarwal and Ashish Agarwal.
2. For reasoning - Magical Kundan.
3. For English - Wren and Martin (grammar)
4. Banking awareness and static GK - Kiran publication.
5. Current affairs B.Sc. Magazine.
