It is the highest reputed exam for the direct officer level entry job in India. There is no exam which makes you an officer with higher rank than IAS. Success ratio is very less. Very tough exam and procedures.

As an NDA aspirant you can opt for the CDS as in that you can have some technical knowledge and then you can build new and innovative things that can help forces to grow and can move matching shoulders with the world.

Hi Ayush, Most batches generally start in either July or October and the process continues till about a month before the pre-exam. Then some institutes (e. g. Vajiram & Ravi) hold Mains specific classes after the foundation classes for a few weeks. Plus, the classes are held generally 7 days a week in the good institutes, amounting to 2-3 hours daily.

Hi Bhuvanesh,
There is only one written test for NDA selection, which consists of 2 sections: Mathematics and General Ability. If you are able to clear this test, you will have to appear for an interview. SSB board then conducts intelligence and personality test for final selection. This process consists of two stages.
Stage I: Comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). You will be shortlisted based on a combination of performance in OIR Test and PP&DT.

For joining Indian Army, you have many ways. After class 12th, you can apply for NDA TES entries. After graduation, you can apply for CDSE, NCC, UES, TGC, ACC, SCO or PCSl. In all above case you have to clear SSB interview to get selected. Also, eligibility for all entries is different. Check it with official website. Now, RAW has its own service cadre, the RAW Allied Service (RAS) to absorb talent. Recruitment is mostly by deputation from the Armed Forces or Civil Service Officers. Most of the Directors have been officers from the IPS. Officers are also deputed from the Indian Revenue Service RAW also employs a number of linguists and other experts in various fields. Recruitment in RAW is taken in the name of NATI (National Aptitude Test in Intelligence) followed by personality and psychological test and interviews.
