UPSC does't need specialisation in a particular subject that you need to graduate in a particular subject. A dedicated 18 months preparation is more then enough. Even engineers taking humanities as optional are equally good as an option for the UPSC exams. So your choice of graduation should be dependent on two parameters
- your area of interest
- a safe career option or a backup if you fail to crack UPSC. You should take a decision keeping the above points in mind. Regards.

Start preparing for NDA from now and complete your 11th and 12th syllabus very well, specially mathematics. For General Ability Test, refer NCERT social science books of class 6th to 10th.

You have to visit the joinindianarmy.nic and then go for officer's login. Go to the registration tab and fill your credentials, then you will receive an OTP, the registration process is completed. Now, you can login into your account and fill application.

For NDA preparation, you should prefer the NCERT books of class 11th and 12th, especially for mathematics. For the general ability test, you should prefer the 6th to 10th social science books which will be very helpful in cracking the general ability test. Other than this books, you should prefer the Arihant Pathfinder, Chapter wise solutions or you can go for Upkar publication books.
