1. You must be a citizen of India.
2. You must have a graduate degree from a reconized University having more than 50% marks.
3. Your age should be between 21- 30 years if you belong to the Generalcategory.
4. If you belong to OBC category then your age should be between 21- to 33 years.

Candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination however, they are supposed to submit proof of passing the requisite qualification along with Detailed Application Form for Civil Services (Main) Examination.

Aspirants must have passed 10th or ITI or relevant qualification.
Aspirants who are appearing or awaiting results of class 10 exam are not eligible.

To be selected in the post of loco pilot in rrb exam, candidates will have to give written exam followed by the aptitude test and qualify both these section with the scores more than the cut-off marks:

(I) For Army wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
