Criteria changes every year but for a boy to get a job in PSU throught GATE, you will have to work hard as you will have to achieve under 200 or 300 rank and almost become a topper.

For Master's degree, you can go for engineering or MBA. You can choose your Master's degree according to your interest. M.Tech would be better as through GATE you can apply for government jobs.
