To be eligible for the B.E. / B.Tech programme at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT), candidates must meet certain academic qualifications. Aspiring students should have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. They need at least 45% marks in these subjects, or 40% marks for reserved category candidates. GNIT also offers lateral entry for Diploma holders and B.Sc graduates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Selection parameters for B.E./B.Tech courses at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology include entrance scores.
