NIT-Kurukshetra is the most in demand engineering institution in the region as being the only NIT in Haryana. It has around 1000 seats each year in total admission. Your rank of JEE must be in the first 25-40,000 to try. Hamirpur, I am not sure.

Knowing SKIET and knowing less of KITM, I can suggest you that KITM might be better than SKIET which has fallen from being a good college.

Kurukshetra University campus has a graduation college known as University College. The university has many colleges affiliated to it. The university was ranked by government of India as 59th overall. Kurukshetra University is leading in Haryana. However, there is no brand image of this university for B.Com as we hear SRC Delhi or IIMC for mass communication. You can still get into University College, Kurukshetra as it is the campus college.
