The seat allotment for HICAS MBA course is based on marks obtained by candidates in the TANCET/ CET/ MAT followed by the GDPI. HICAS MBA seat intake is 240. Admission is purely based on merit, subject to the reservation rules of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the University. 50% of the total seat intake is to be filled as per the reservation policy stipulated by the regulatory bodies and remaining 50% of the seats are to be filled through the Management Quota.

According to the NIRF report 2024, HICAS MBA median package 2023 for the graduating batch stood at INR 3.98 LPA. Out of 854 postgraduate programme students, a total of 693 students were placed during HICAS placements 2023.

HICAS MBA placement report 2024 is not out yet on the official website of the institute but according to the NIRF report 2024, HICAS MBA median package 2023 of the placed graduates stood at INR 3.98 LPA. Earlier, the HICAS MBA the highest package 2022 stood at INR 8.2 LPA. Out of a total of 854 PG programme students, a total of 693 students were placed during HICAS MBA placements 2023.
