Last year, the final cut-off was generally in the range of 70-80. The cut-off generally varies according to the competition and toughness of paper each year.

It's very nice to read about setting aims in life so early. Congratulations for this. For becoming IPS, one needs to clear civil service exam. For this eligibility is graduation in any subject. Hence I would advise you to choose a subject that you like most. This will help you in preparing for civil service exam later. Presently work hard and study to learn the subject and not to obtain higher marks.
