Hi Mausam, Admission to M.A. History is done in the below-mentioned 3 ways. Entrance Test: - Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for the admission to this course. The question paper mainly consists of three sections:-
English Section
Social Sciences/ Current Affairs
History

Lateral entry- Some colleges also offer admission to the second year of this course like Annamalai University and Karnataka Open University. Correspondence Mode of Study- Many colleges or universities offer M.A. History in the distance mode like Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Mumbai University and Karnataka State Open University. History and political Science is not a prerequisite for studying law. If you want to become a lawyer you have to start from LL.B. If done graduation, else go for an integrated B.A. LL.B. Programme. Make sure that the universities are recognised by Bar Council of India. After completion of your Undergraduate or graduate course in law from the university, enroll yourself at Bar Council of any state (advisably, the state where you prefer to litigate or your home state). After completion of enrollment at Bar Council, take All India Bar Council Exam AIBE which is usually conducted twice a year.
