The admission procedure and assessment criteria are the same for national, international, and sponsored candidates until and unless specifically mentioned otherwise. The whole evaluation procedure is online. It is compulsory to appear for all the stages of evaluation of the admission process. The checklist of the process is mentioned below:

  • Last Qualifying Exam
  • Reference Letters
  • Written Portfolio
  • Pre recorded interview

DU SOL admission to M.A. in History is based on DUET scores followed by the release of list of merit lists. As per the cutoff 2022, DU SOL concluded the release of merit list after Round 4 Seat allotment. Netaji Subhas Open University offers an MA in History through the School of Social Sciences. The course is spread over a minimum duration of two years and can be completed up to five years. The eligibility criteria are different for students from the CBCS and non-CBCS categories.

For Non CBCS: Candidates, who have a graduation degree (10+2+3) and have scored at least 300 marks in History, are eligible to apply for the programme.

For CBCS: Candidates, who have a graduation degree (10+2+3) with Core Course (CC/Discipline Specific Elective (DSE)/ Equivalent in History, are eligible to pursue the programme.
