It is quite competitive to get hired by top recruiters such as Taj, Oberoi, Marriott, Hyatt, ITC, Hilton, or leading cruise lines and international chains, but not impossible.

Moreover, entry-level roles like Management Trainee (MT) courses are highly selective, often with group discussions, aptitude tests, and multi-round interviews. Cruise lines, international hotels, and airlines conduct global hiring drives, with thousands of applicants competing for a few positions. Mostly, only 10–20% of students may get placed in luxury chains or international brands during campus placements.

To some extent yes, as some colleges/institutes offer elective modules in areas like Bartending, Bakery, or Cruise Management, especially at Diploma or Certificate courses level. While some private institutes offers specialisation and internship is also preferred in same sector.

However, you will always have options to earn certifications alongside your course (e.g., Wine Tasting, Digital Marketing for Hospitality, HACCP for Food Safety).
