It depends on your caste. If you belong to ST/SC category then yes but if you belong to OBC/General category, then it is a no, Sorry!

There isn't any university with the name University of Kotak. In order to be eligible to apply for an MBA or Master of Hotel Management, you need to have a Bachelor's degree from a UGC recognised university with at least 50% marks. Your MA does not hold any value for placement and package as it is purely based on the placement the course and institute bring, your academic and your own performance during the campus placement and interview.
Now as far as which one is better, it depends. If you get a seat in top MBA/ PGPM institutes like XLRI, IIM, FMS Delhi, NMIMS, SP Jain, etc. your average package will be 18 Lacs- 20 Lacs per annum. If

Complete your 12th or do Diploma courses related to Hotel Management. If you complete 12th then you can definitely apply for NCHMCT-JEE and get into one reputed institutions for Hotel Management studies.

You have to apply for the upcoming hotel management entrance exam I.e NCHMCT JEE 2018, and after Diploma, you are capable to join. 1st, you have to apply online for this exam. Go through the below mentioned link, you can get it:
http://nchmct.in, (Here, you can apply for written exam). After this, you will be getting your ranking as AIR, by this you can go ahead with counseling process and get into a reputed and leading IHM colleges or any private colleges. :-)
