No, the candidate does not have to be an NRI to pursue a PG Diploma in culinary arts at Manipal University. Basic Eligibility for a candidate to pursue this course is that the individual must be a graduate from a recognised college /university. Regards.

Learning something is never a waste of time. However, if you feel you can do better in your field of study, i.e civil engineering, you should definitely pursue that. You can always do a part-time course to learn the art of cooking. If you strongly feel that you want to learn cooking full time, you should pursue a course in Bachelors in Catering Technology and Culinary Arts from Culinary Academy of India. It will broaden your scope for employment.
