The IBPS PO Prelims syllabus consists of three main subjects:

  • English Language (25 Questions): It includes:  Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Para Jumbles, Spotting Errors, Fill in the Blanks, Sentence Correction.
  • Quantitative Aptitude (35 Questions): includes: Simplification, Number Systems, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Average, Ratio & Proportion, Mixtures & Alligations, Simple, Compound Interest, Work & Time, Time & Distance, Mensuration (Area & Volume), Data Interpretation.
  • Reasoning Ability (35 Questions)

The total number of questions in the IBPS PO Prelims exam is 100, and the time limit is one hour.

The IBPS PO Syllabus covers various sections to assess a candidate's suitability for the Probationary Officer position in participating banks. Syllabus for each stage:

Preliminary Exam:
