I don't know about IIEST Shibpur as it will obviously factor in your JEE Mains AIR (paper 2 if yo're going for B.Arch and to secure a good AIR with 57% in chose is not possible. (I think they set the minimum cutoff at 60% to appear for counselling). Even though to GET Architecture in JU you need to merely give the NATA exam (the score is irrelevant), even JU has a minimum cutoff of 60% in boards. I'd suggest, if your board permits it, appear for an improvement examination.

I think, CSE at IIEST, Shibpur will be a better option.

IIEST, Shibpur is better as it holds 17th rank in All India Engineering colleges by MHRD. From my personal experience NIT Andhra Pradesh is not a good opinion.

If you see the placement records of Jadavpur University, you will find that higher packages are provided to JU as compared to IIEST Shibpur. Though both are very prestigious college and if you have got CSE in both the colleges then I will recommend you to go for JU.

Hi Ayushi,
Both the colleges are esteemed institutions of engineering. BIT Mesra is having an edge over IIEST in the placements.
However, IIEST has been given the status of an 'Institute of National Importance' recently, so it is at par with BIT Mesra in terms of academics.
I would suggest you to go for BIT Mesra because of the environment and learning atmosphere there. It is the place for overall development and enhancing one's own set of skills. This place not only makes you technically sound but also provides you with the opportunity for the final placements.
Best wishes.

You can choose MME.
I don't know much about the IIEST Shibpur College and I couldn't evoked about this institutions too
But I can give some suggestions as an alumni of metallurgical engineering from VNIT, Nagpur don't prefer MME instead opt for any circuit stream in the other college as per your preferences. Why I'm suggesting you is that there are no placements for metallurgist students since batch of 2013 to 2014 onwards there is no decent placement and everyone take the admission merely wanted to land with decent package after their graduation and no one rely wanted to learn the engineering subjects such a huge investigated of four y
