Among the two, IIEST SHIBPUR has now emerged as a better option for pursuing B.E/B.Tech. This is because of it attaining a national identification as IIEST. If you are doing B.Tech/BE then your thinking if job oriented. In that case SHIBPUR has a higher edge as number of recruiters are more and they include good companies offering internship.

Hey Chaitanya,
You have low score in your JEE mains so it will be difficult to get into IIEST, Shibpur but you can apply for some prestigious private institutions in India based on your marks in board exams. Also you are eligible for best scholarships offered by private universities. Check out the following universities -

Hey Shubhadeep,
Your score is not sufficient enough to get admission into IIT but you still have many options to go with. You may get a seat based on your category rank. You should also apply for some best private universities having their forms open. Private universities also provide best infrastructure and equally good education with government universities. Hellohe IIST Cutoff 2016 will be declared soon after the results of the JEE (Main) Exam 2016 and the JEE (Advanced) Exam 2016 have been published. The cutoff will be made public at the official website of the Institute i.e iist.ac.in. Details of the IIST Cutoff 2016 will also be made available on our website, soon after its official release.
In determining the IIST 2016 Cutoff, a number of factors will be considered such as the total number of applicants, the intake capacity of each course, the cutoff of the previous year etc.

There are lot of branches offered under B.E / B.Tech in IIEST and the eligibility may vary branch to branch. Hence, I would request you to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.
