IIHM Kolkata offers decent placements annually for courses like BA in Hospitality Management and Hotel Management & Catering and  BSc (Hons) in International Hospitality Management course. As per the students’ reviews on the Shiksha page, IIHM Kolkata recorded 90% placements recently. Both the IIHM Kolkata and the ISHM Kolkata are reputable BHM institutions, each with its own set of strengths. The Economic Times has recognised IIHM Kolkata, which has international collaborations with prestigious universities all over the world. It provides a Certificate in Wine Studies and has a good placement record. In Kolkata, there are two reputable hospitality management schools: the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) and the International School of Hospitality Management (ISHM). The IIHM, founded in 1994, is a private institute that has been named by The Economic Times as one of the best hospitality education brands for 2020. In order to get admission to BA at IIHM Kolkata, candidates are required to pass Class 12 with English as one of the main subjects. Further, eligible candidates are required to qualify for e-CHAT entrance exam, which is an in-house entrance exam of IIHM Kolkata. Candidates are selected based on a valid score in e-CHAT exam, followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.

In order to get admission to a three-year BA course at IIHM Kolkata, candidates are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. As per the minimum educational requirements, candidates who pass Class 12 in any stream from a recognised board with English as one of the core subjects are eligible for BA admission at IIHM Kolkata. Futher, candidates must have an Upper age limit of 22 years as per July 1, 2025.

To apply for a three-year BA course at IIHM Kolkata, candidates must fill an application form either in online or offline mode. They also need to pay an application fee of INR 600. The application amount is same for both online and offline application forms.

In order to apply for a BA at IIHM Kolkata, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria and fill out an application form that can be filled in both online and offline modes. To fill out an online application form, students can visit the official website of eCHAT by following this link (echat.elink.in). By using the link, students will land on the registration page, they need to make themselves register and fill out the application form with all the appropriate details along with making the fee payment of INR 600. The application fee for both online and offline application processes is the same.

No, students who want to get admission to BA at IIHM Kolkata need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as given by the institute. After that, they need to appear for eCHAT entrance exam, which is a mandatory step for the selection for BA course. The final selection is based on the performance of candidates in the Personal Interview. Hence, the institute does not provide direct admissions.
