Hi,
Hope you are doing well. See, normal B.Tech course is of 4 years, but this course is of 5 years. Moreover, you will complete the course of 6 years in 5 years itself. It is highly research involved. But, generally people do not prefer it. I too don't know the reason for that. Hope, this helps you. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Hi Gaurav,
Hope you are doing well. There is no special eligibility criteria for IIIT's. It will be decided purely by your JEE Main score. IIT's are very good colleges, because they come under INI's (Institutes of national importance). If you are not getting a seat in IIT go for NIT after that select IIT. Moreover, it also depends on the branch you wish to select. Some IIIT's are better in specific branches in comparison to NIT's.

IIIT-Jabalpur takes admission through JEE Mains, so if you are eligible for JEE Mains, you are eligible for IIIT-Jabalpur. See the eligibility criteria on information brochure provided by JEE Mains at their website. You need to score 60% and above in 10+2.

Hi Harsh, For making your improvement exam marks in consider with your admission application, you need to appear for all the subjects in the consecutive year. You can't just sit for one or two subjects. And if you have appeared for all the subjects again in the next year, BITS will definitely consider your candidature. All the best.

Check out the JEE Mains 2018 Eligibility Criteria to clear every single doubt coming in your mind.
According to this, the candidates who have scored at least 75% marks in the 12th class are only eligible for appearing in the JEE Mains exam.
So, if you can't appear in the JEE Mains exam, then you can can't get admission in any of the NITs or IITs.
If you haven't scored 75% in 12th, then you can go for the improvement exam or the NIOS exam.
Hope this will help.
All the best.

Yes Suhas, You can definitely pursue B.Tech (Lateral Entry). There are many colleges which provide the lateral entry in Delhi NCR for e.g. Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, etcetera.

According to me, there is no difference on BE and B.Tech. I can assure you that the courses are same in both of them. Difficulty level depends on the university and on the marking scheme.
Apart from this, practicals are there in the course but college fails to provide practical knowledge. A few institutes take students for industrial visits.

Yes, you are eligible but in case of counselling home state candidates are preferred so you should score high marks as you can.
