Well, if you've heard for reliable sources like The Hindu or the Economic Times it is true. The salary at the top 3 IIMs are very high. Before I mention the salaries, let me start by saying that there are two types of placements :
The Summer Placements: These are internships and salary may range from a few Lacs to even 10,000 per month and is for a period of two to three months. This internship may turn into a full time job based on your performance. Final Placements: The type of job you get depends on your two years you spent at IIM, your grades, your extra-curriculars and internship. Your final placement salary may range from One Cror

Hi,
GMAT scores are valid only if NRI students want to join JBIMS. You have to appear for MHT CET exam and secure a rank under 30 plus you need to have a Maharashtra domicile. I do not have much idea about IIMs.

For IIMs/FMS there is CAT scorecard required. If you have more than 95 percentile then there are high chances to get a call.

Yes, once you have completed your graduation i.e. (B.Tech), you are eligible to apply in IIM. It only requires graduation with some eligibility criteria. To enroll in MBA from IIM, you need to appear in CAT exam.
