Hi Shantanu,
IIM Ahmedabad does not provide any specialization. It has a general Post Graduate Program in Management, without any specialization.
Also, IIMs don't really offer an MBA degree. They offer a diploma - course usually called PGPM/PGDM.

Hello Retish,
To get admission into any of the IIMs (Indian Institute of management), you need to clear CAT (common admission test) exam with a good percentile. And, you also need to hold a Bachelors Degree with minimum 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA awarded by a recognised university.
Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelors degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
The exam pattern of CAT will be objective type test carrying 100 questions from Quantitative Ability, Verbal and Reading Comprehension and Data Interpreta

I feel that it all depends on how well you prepare yourself for the Eligibility Testing. Streams may count marginally. So, an exhaustive preparation will surely yield success.
