May be not in top 3. You can apply for other IIMs. Many IIMs have come up. If you belong to a reserved category then you are likely to get something.

It totally depends on your interest. IIM will be good if you are interested towards management side and UPSC if you want to get a govt. job. So just find your interest.

Check below the scholarship details offered by IIMs:
- IIM, Lucknow: The first campus in the list is IIM-Lucknow. It offers both need based scholarship as well as merit cum scholarship.
- IIM, Calcutta: Students of IIM-Calcutta are offered many scholarships on the basis of their performances and the academic merit. Many of the scholarships are sponsored by institutes and other organisations.
- IIM, Ahmedabad: IIM-Ahmedabad provides the students all the financial assistance need to pursue the course of their choice. Every year the scholarship programme benefits many students to continue their studies.

For getting into one of the IIMs CAT is compulsory as IIMs accept only CAT score. Along with IIMs 90% or more colleges in India accept CAT score except for few like Xavier colleges , Symbiosis etc for that you need to give XAT & SNAP respectively. Once you get a good score or percentile in CAT then your door to best business schools opens up.

Each day has its own set of challenges and twists. Things are so unpredictable here that you can't even plan your evenings in advance, as you would never know which professor would shower upon you, long assignments with Short deadlines. IIMs offer MBA program which involves a lot of peer to peer learning and it prepares students to enter into the corporate or business world. Diversity is considered important today in corporates as well feeding into the diversity agenda of IIMs apart from their own objective of having diverse students to foster a good learning environment. Reservation has widely been a debated issue in our country since a long time. A person should not focus on reservations, instead you should focus on your preparation strategy of CAT. Anyone who prepares well enough has the potential to crack the Exam.
It's not our call to decide on deserving or non-deserving candidates, it all depends upon the interview panel which takes the final interview.

The full forms for all of these are as follows:
PGP-Post Graduate Program
PGDM-Post Graduate Diploma in Management
FPM-Fellow Program in management
ABM-AgriBusiness Management
Most of the things are clear by the full forms itself.
PGP is a two-year postgraduate program offered by most of the colleges.
PGDM or Post Graduate Diploma in Management is offered by autonomous institutions as they cannot offer MBA.
