A minimum of 80 percentile is must to secure into the top notch IIMs under OBC category, however, you need good GDPI score to qualify and get admission for PGP.

At FMS, there's nothing specific where you can be sure that it lags behind IIM's. It is up to you to make the most out of the infrastructural support it provides. It also has limited residential hostel seats at VKRV Rao Hostel.

You are eligible to seek admission in Indian Institute of Management Institute's (IIMs) flagship two-year postgraduate programme in management (PGPM) based on your graduation degree in engineering (BE) provided you have completed BE with greater than 50% marks. You are advised to appear for Combined Aptitude Test commonly known as CAT. CAT is held in last week of November or December beginning every year. It is the most competitive examination in India and will require you to prepare well.

IIM, Ahmedabad is the best IIM and is consistent no. 1 B-School in All India rankings. Its fee for 2-year postgraduate programme in management (PGPM) at IIMs varies from Rs. 18 Lakhs to Rs. 19.5 lakhs.

Generally, the new IIMs announces their final list of selected candidates in the mid of May and the further lists continue till June and July.

The packages depends on economic condition and requirement of candidates. For different IIMs, there are different packages offered in history. The maximum package have gone upto 1 crore rupees per year with International placements. You can refer to below link also for last salary data:

Somaiya would be better due to its brand name and location. The average package offered is around Rs 9L, and is one of the top B-schools in/around Mumbai. The new IIMs are not great in terms of placements and ROI; it will take some years for them to be established. Still if brand name matters to you than placements/ROI, then you can go for them(specially Amritsar & Nagpur). Good luck!

In terms of ROI, it's FMS, DU which is simply the best than any other college in the country. Not only the ROI, even if we compare placements with IIMs, it's far better. So go for it.

FPM stands for the fellow programme in management. This programme is equivalent to a Doctorate degree. Therefore, to pursue FPM, you should complete PGDM then you can join the same.
