The process of getting into IIM Sirmaur is through the CAT examination and hence there are no reservation criteria exclusively. The usual reservation criteria that are associated with the CAT examination are the only ones that the college follows. These reservations include the SC, ST, OBC, etc. On the contrary there can be some other advantages if you belong to the same state or if you are a girl child etc. There are no other reservations apart from what the Indian Government has prescribed.

IIM Sirmaur is a young IIM that is offering many attractive courses for MBA and PhD enthusiasts. We cannot expect the same as we do from IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore or IIM Chennai. These are very old institutions and have worked for years to provide the result they showing now. Even though IIM Sirmaur is new, it is performing very good. It is providing students exposure to big companies and giving them an opportunity to get a job in one of those with high annual packages. A student is getting a fair return which makes IIM Sirmaur a good option to consider for studies.

IIM Sirmaur offers many accademic courses like MBA and PhD etc. Job opportunities comes to students according to what field of study they have chosen. Usually the pre placement drive starts in the month of September and by the month of February the students are placed via the college. Some of the huge recruiters of the college includes Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd, BYJU's, HCL, IDBI Capital, etc. The average package a student gets is of 14.45 LPA with the highest package of 64.12 LPA.

IIM Sirmaur has its own campus hostels with all the facilities for the students. They have rooms on double sharing basis and have a washing machine and pantry setup on each floor of the hostel building. The college hostel fees would cost around 1.2 Lacs per year. The college is also building new hostels for students to meet full occupancy. Apart from that, there are many other P.G. and Hostels around the college with all the facilities like laundry, food, and clean drinking water that one can consider. There are many variety of accommodation facility ranging from low to high prices that one can choose according to their will.
