IIT Hyderabad JAM cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1, wherein the closing ranks varied between 268 and 299 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. So, if you belong to the General category and have a cutoff rank above 300, you can also consider other IITs such as IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Tirupati, for which the IIT JAM first round cutoff range was between 412 and 602 for the General category. Tabulated below is the IIT JAM first round cutoff 2025 for IIT Hyderabad along with IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Tirupati cutoff ranks for students to make an informed decision.

IIT Hyderabad cutoff 2024 has been released across various specialisations in the form of opening and closing ranks. IIT Hyderabad MSc cutoff 2024 ranged between, 332 and 345 for the General AI category candidates, wherein, the top courses with the highest ranks needed were M.Sc. in Mathematics (332), and M.Sc. in Chemistry (336). During 2023 placements, IIT Hyderabad offered the maximum package of INR 63.78 LPA. The highest package in 2022 was INR 65.46 LPA. As a result, the highest package was lower in comparison to 2022.

IIIT Hyderabad has been ranked 55 under the Engineering category by the NIRF in 2023. On the other hand, IIT Hyderabad has been ranked 8 by the NIRF in the same category in 2023. Talking about the placements, the highest and average package offered during IIIT Hyderabad placements 2023 stood at INR 69 LPA and INR 32 LPA, respectively. On the other hand, the highest and average package offered was INR 65.46 LPA and INR 20.46 LPA during IIT Hyderabad placements 2023, respectively. Therefore, it is safe to conclude that IIT Hyderabad is better than IIIT Hyderabad.

To join IIT Hyderabad aspriring candidates need to clear JEE, GATE, CEED or UCEED. To be eligible for the BTech programme at IIT Hyderabad aspring candidates need to clear JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced and they also need to have 75% in their class 12 exam. Yes, with a cutoff of 36, you can get into IIT Hyderabad for B.Des admission in Round 2 of the UCEED Seat Allotment process. The Round 2 closing rank for B.Des was 36 for OBC category students, so a cutoff of 36 should be sufficient for admission.
