Many foreign companies do come for picking up students from IIT's. Packages offered at Kanpur IIT are reported to be good and in the range of 6-8 Lacs.

The package offered during campus placement in IIT - K is wound Rs.5 LPA to Rs.8 LPA.

Unfortunately, presently language of instruction in all engineering colleges is only English. There is no option. You will have to take extra classes for learning English.

The eligibility criteria for applying is 85 percentile in CAT for general and OBC category and 75 percentile for SC/ST candidates. The screening for GD/PI calls is done by the faculty and the criteria is not disclosed. However with your profile you are eligible for applying. The calls for GD/PI for this year have already been given out.

There are very high chances of getting a call.

Last year, the cut-off was 91%.

We were planning to conduct in other cities but for now, it is only in Kanpur.
