Mentioned below is the application process for PhD at IT Tirupati:

  1. Visit the official website of IIT Tirupato.
  2. Fill out the application form and upload the required documents.
  3. Pay the non-refundable application fee, submit and print the application form. The application fee for General and male candidates is INR 100 and for SC/ ST/ PwD and female candidates is INR 50.

IIT Tirupati welcome aspirants from ASEAN countries to apply for PhD fellowships. The full-time foreign PhD research scholars are eligible for financial assistantship of INR 25,000 per month for the first two years and INR 28000 per month for next three years of registration. All such research scholars have to put in eight hours every week towards work assigned by the institute.

The list of documents required for PhD admission are listed below:

  • Admission offer
  • Birth certificate
  • Aadhaar number and PAN number
  • First page of SSLC/ SSC/ matriculation certificate
  • Copy of the submitted application form
  • Original GATE scorecard or CSIR-UGC-JRF/ LS/ NET/ DAE-JEST or other fellowship award letter

The entire process including the application, seat allotment, document upload and fee payment processes of the CCMN will be conducted in online mode for admission to IIT Tirupati and other IITs for MSc. The registration fee for CCMN for the General, General-EWS and OBC category candidates is INR 3,000 and that for the reserved category candidates is INR 2,500.

The total tuition fee for IIT Tirupati MTech is INR 20,000. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Students are also required to pay the GATE application fee in addition to the tuition charges. IIT Tirupati offers MTech for two-years at the PG level. Admission to this programme is subject to a valid GATE score followed by COAP Counselling. The specialisations available under MTech include Civil & Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical Engineering. These specialisations are also offered across multiple sub-specialisations under these streams. IIT Graduates and GATE qualified candidates can apply for any of the MTech specialisations.
