The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 13974 and closing rank was 16658. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to B.Tech. in Civil Engineering in IIT Tirupati is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

For 2024, cut off was 14341 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Chemical Engineering in IIT Tirupati. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIT Tirupati admissions are currently open. Candidates seeking admission at IIT Tirupati need to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. IIT Tirupati admits students to BTech courses based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores. Candidates are allotted seats in JoSAA Counselling for BTech courses.
Admission to MTech is through GATE followed by COAP Counselling. The institute considers IIT JAM and JOAP Counselling process for MSc courses.The cutoff for BTech, MTech and MSc courses is released by the respective counselling bodies. The modes of Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati admission are online & offline. Admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, & Ph.D. courses is based on merit & various entrance examination scores. At the undergraduate level, the college offers four-year BTech courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the college offers two-year MSc, MTech, & various other courses to students. IIT Tirupati is spread 548.3 acre of land. It has modern classrooms, hostels, library and cafeterias. The library is equipped with a large library automation system with Online Public Access Catalogue. IIT Tirupati cutoff 2026 for the BTech programme in its last round was within the range of 6030 (BTech CSE) to 17682 (BTech Civil Engineering). Similarly, the last round cutoff for the MSc programme lay between 391(MSc in Mathematics and Statistics) to 805 (MSc in Chemistry).
The lower the ranks, the more is the competition; as per this principle, out of all the BTech and MSc specialisations, BTech CSE and MSc in Mathematics and Statistics turned out to be the most competitive branches for admissions in the General AI category.
