IIT Tirupati offers MTech for two-years at the PG level. Admission to this programme is subject to a valid GATE score followed by COAP Counselling. The specialisations available under MTech include Civil & Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The total tuition fee for IIT Tirupati MTech is INR 20,000. After registering on the COAP website, candidates must also apply on the IIT Jammu website. The application fee per department (non-refundable) is INR 400 for GN/ EWS/ OBC-NCL male candidates, INR 200 for GN/ EWS/ OBC-NCL female candidates and SC/ST and PwD candidates. 

Candidates who wish to apply to the M.Tech programme at IIT Tirupati must have a valid GATE score. The candidates are screened based on their CGPI in BE/BTech and GATE scores during COAP counselling. The answer is both yes & no. It is possible to get IIT Tirupati admission without the GATE entrance examination, but in other courses than MTech.
