To get admission to NIT Patna as well as NIT Raipur, candidates must qualify in the NIMCET exam. The MCA (AI & IoT) specialisation at NIT Patna, the Last Round closing rank was 557 in 2024, respectively. Similarly, the NIT Raipur Last Round cutoff rank was 736 in 2024 for the General AI category.
So, it depends on the scores of the candidates, If they have ranks under the range of cutoffs specified for NIT Patna, then they can go for it. However, NIT Raipur would be better alternative for candidates aiming for NIT Patna with low marks than the cutoff:

The important BVP B-MAT exam day guidelines are:
- All candidates are advised to report to the exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts to complete the security process.
- The BVP B-MAT admit card and identity proof have to be presented at the exam centre.
- No electronic devices will be allowed inside the exam centre.
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall until the end of the exam.
- Candidates using unfair means in the examination will be disqualified.

The authorities will accept original and valid Government approved identity proofs at the BVP B-MAT exam centres. Any of the following identity proofs will be accepted by the authorities - Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card, School ID. If the candidates are unable to bring their identity proof along with the BVP B-MAT admit card, then they will be considered ineligible for the examination.

No. The authorities will not accept soft copies of the BVP B-MAT admit card. The candidates will have to present the printouts of the BVP B-MAT admit card at the examination centre to be considered eligible for the exam. The printouts have to be taken before the examination as the centre are not expected to provide such facility to the candidates.
