It's not a direct answer. Salary depends on skills, experience, location, profile and company. Freshers earn 3 to 8 LPA. Experienced ones can earn upto 20 LPA. Average MCA salary being 7 to 10 LPA. Some highly demanded roles are Data Scientists, AI/ML professionals, Cloud computing, etc.

Most of the colleges provide a MCA of 2 years divided into 4 semesters. Some colleges like top NITs offer 3 year MCA. A 3 year MCA is more specialised and extensive. 2 year MCA is more common.

Some universities offer MCA lateral, which is a course that allows candidates to enter 2nd year MCA curriculum. Both MCA and MCA lateral are counted as postgraduate course. In order to be eligible for MCA lateral entry, you have to pass either BSc in Computer Science/ IT or a BCA.

Yes. The cutoff (opening and closing ranks) is released after each round of centralised counselling. Typically, there are three primary rounds followed by a special/spot round if seats remain vacant at participating NITs.

No. You must secure a positive score in Mathematics; there is no other way around. If you score 0 or minus (because of negative marking) you automatically get disqualified from ranking, irrespective of your score in other sections.

Scoring above 360 marks (~700+ weighted marks) is considered excellent and can secure you a rank within the top 100 and study at NIT Trichy or NIT Warangal.

BIT combines your scores using this formula: (Written Score * 0.4) + (Interview Score * 0.6). You need at least 38 weighted marks in total to qualify.
