The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar offers reasonably good placements.  Many top recruiting companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Google, Infosys, IBM, ABB, Finisar, Intel, Polaris, Indian Oil,  EIL, GAIL, ONGC, etc. come to the college to recruit students as interns and offer jobs. As per the trends of previous years, 60-70%  of the total students get a decent placement through this in-house recruitment. The average salary packages offered differ from one course to another course  The highest salary package offered is 46 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 8 LPA. 

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) in Srinagar offers a variety of courses including various certificate courses, undergraduate courses & CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) an entry-level information technology (IT) certification issued by networking hardware company Cisco.etc. Th total fees required varies from course to course. It typically ranges from Rs.200- Rs. 25,000 for certificate courses; Rs.10,000-Rs.25,000 for undergraduate courses and Rs.3.5000-Rs.12,000 for CCNA certificate. 

Hence, it can be inferred thaT NIELIT is not very much costly infact actually offers students courses in very low fee structure

New Horizon College, Kasturi Nagar offers a three-year BCA course. This course is offered in affiliation with Bengaluru North University (BNU). At NHC, BCA course is offered in three streams, namely Executive, Professional and Executive Dual Certification. In the BCA Executive Dual Certification course, students will get a globally certified certificate along with a valid university degree. The following courses will be taught under this course:

• Cyber Security and Digital Forensic- Internationally accredited certificate (3 years)
• Digital Marketing & Digital Selling- Digital Marketing Institute (Ireland- 3 years)
• AWS & CCNA- Amazon Web Services (3 years)

New Horizon College Kasturi Nagar is completely merit-based. Eligible candidates can apply directly on the official website of NHC. The minimum eligibility for a three-year BCA course is to pass Class 12 in any stream. NHC selects candidates based on their merit scores obtained in the last qualifying exam of Class 12. However, As per the official website of NHC Kasturi Nagar, the selection is also done via NHC Aptitude Test, which is conducted by the institute. At NHC Kasturi Nagar, candidates can pursue a full-time BCA course for a duration of three years. This course is offered in affiliation with Bengaluru North University (BNU). After the completion of this course, the final degree will be awarded by BNU. As per the official website, the institute selects approximately 200 candidates across the Department of Computer Applications. On a regular basis, the department organises national & international industrial visits and guest lectures by senior managers from the industry along with various seminars, workshops, college fests and technical games are also conducted for practical exposure of candidates. Students of BCA at NHC are hired in MNCs such as Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, etc., with good packages.
