To pass any subject, a student must score at least 33% marks in both theory and practical/internal assessments (if applicable). This means students must focus not just on the final exam but also on classroom performance and assignments. Marks from internal assessments are important too. If a student fails in one subject, they may get a chance to appear in a compartment exam. Consistent study from the beginning can make passing easy.

Yes, in recent years, JAC has included more MCQs and competency-based questions in the papers. These questions are designed to check a student's understanding of concepts, not just memorization. The weightage of MCQs can be up to 30-40% in some subjects. This encourages students to read thoroughly and understand the syllabus better. Solving previous year papers helps understand the marking trend.

In recent years, JAC has not made significant changes to the overall exam pattern, though the structure of questions has seen some updates. The inclusion of more objective-type questions, such as multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions, has increased. Students are encouraged to review the latest guidelines issued by JAC for any minor revisions in the pattern, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic when some changes were introduced temporarily. For an overall idea about the JAC Matric exam pattern, the students must download the model paper for JAC 10th exam.

The marking scheme for JAC 10th exams varies by subject, with most subjects having a maximum of 100 marks. In Science and Social Science, 80 marks are allotted to theory, and 20 marks are for internal or practical assessments. For subjects like Mathematics, the entire 100 marks are based on written examination performance. There is no negative marking in the exam, so students can attempt all questions without losing marks for incorrect answers.

As per the current pattern, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers in the objective section. This gives students the chance to attempt all questions without fear of losing marks. However, students should still avoid wild guesses. It is better to make an educated guess if unsure. Reading the textbook carefully helps answer most of the MCQs easily.

To do well in the objective section, students should practice chapter-wise MCQs from textbooks and model papers. They should revise NCERT-based concepts and avoid guesswork in the OMR sheet. Time management is key while solving MCQs quickly and accurately. Students can use flashcards or quizzes to test themselves daily. Regular practice builds confidence and speed.

Yes, for the objective part of the exam, students must fill answers on an OMR sheet. It is important to use a black or blue ballpoint pen to mark the correct option. Students should practice filling OMR sheets before the actual exam to avoid mistakes. Any error in marking or folding the sheet can result in no marks for that section. So, careful and neat filling is a must.

Yes, students need to clear theoretical and practical exams separately. The total score will then be calculated for the final results. Hence, students must prepare to perform well in both theory and practical exams. The board will hold the JAC class 10 practical exams in January 2025, tentatively. It is expected that the final JAC 10th exam 2025 will be held in February 2025. Students must prepare to perform well in both (practical and theory) exams.
