Go for CSE, because you can always choose a specialisation or minor after getting into CSE and can even explore new opportunities as a CSE student. But if you choose AI or ML, it would narrow your options in the future. You can learn AI and ML even in CSE.

Manipal University Jaipur B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) course is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 4 genuine verified students while Thapar University same course is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5 students

In the context of admission criteria for M.Tech programs for the academic year 2022-23 Birla Institute of Technology Mesra had fixed cutoff marks based on the GATE score and marks/percentage achieved in their under graduation examinations. The minimum GATE score cutoff was in the range of 45-60 marks for general category candidates and 35-50 marks for SC, ST and PD candidates. Furthermore, the candidates must have passed their Bachelors’ degree with minimum 60-80% marks for general category while for SC, ST and PD category the marks should be at least 50-70% to seek M.Tech programs at BIT Mesra.

BIT Mesra has a very good placement record where students get placed in various reputed companies. According to different resources, the placement percentage of B.Tech students stands between 90% and 95%. Despite this, it does not guarantee a 100% placement and yet BIT Mesra is one of the most prestigious engineering colleges situated in India due to its tradition of providing good placements to the students. Some of the key recruiters that have provided placements to BIT Mesra students include Microsoft, Google, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Axis Bank.

There are 240 seats available for the B.Tech EEE course in BIT Mesra. Of the total 240 seats, 120 seats are available for the general category candidates. Out of these, 60 seats are for the SC/ST category of candidates. Out of which, 40 seats are reserved for OBC-NCL category. It provides special accommodations for Disabled Persons with 4 seats dedicated to PWDs. The other 4 are held for international students who may want to be part of the program. The remaining 12 seats are reserved for Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO).
