Once the exams are done, IIT JAM releases separate IIT JAM cut off marks for General, OBC and SC/ST students. Cut off for IIT JAM 2019 is decided on the basis of the difficulty level of exam, number of vacancies available, total number of student appeared, previous year IIT JAM cut off and average marks obtained by candidates in IIT JAM. Based on IIT JAM Result, candidates are then admitted to Institutes according to the preference of choices filled by them in Admission Form.

As IIT JAM exam is one of the toughest exams conducted in India so, you should start your preparation 7-8 months before the exams. But as now you only have 2 months left, so it will be tough for you to crack it. But you can still crack it.
