The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2024, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 1708. In 2023, it increased to 1544 from 1352 in 2022. As per information gathered from the official JOSAA website, i.e. josaa.admissions.nic.in/ the total seats for the four-year BTech programme at IIT Gandhinagar are 420. This intake is inclusive of the Gender Neutral and Female-only (including Supernumerary) pools and is inclusive of all student categories, such as Open, Open-PwD, GEN-EWS, GEN-EWS-PwD, SC, SC-PWD, ST and ST-PWD, among others. 

Yes, non-GATE candidates must appear for the institute level entrance test. However, all candidates are required to appear for the PI round for final selection. In addition to this, BTech graduates from the IITs with CGPA/ CPI of 8.0 or above (on a scale of 10) are eligible to get admission to M.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar without GATE. Other than GATE or the criteria state above, candidates are required to be a pass in BE/ BTech/ MSc or equivalent in appropriate branches with a minimum of 55% aggregate or 5.5 on a 10-point scale (50% aggregate for SC /ST). 

If any candidate is unable to receive the OTP while applying at IIT Gandhinagar, they should try resending or reloading the sent OTP. Wait for atleast 15-20 minutes or change the current network settings. If this does not fix the problem of OTP not getting loaded, try using a different Email Id or phone number.

Yes, IIT Gandhinagar conducts a Personal Interview round. Candidates can be asked to appear for the institute-level entrance test. In order to apply, all applications must fill the form online. Candidates wanting to apply for more than one specialisation need to submit separate application for each specialisation. After successful submission of form, students receive an application number and a link to download the application form. 

To apply for JEE Advanced, candidates need JEE Main application number and password. This means only the candidates who qualify JEE Main for JEE Advanced, cand apply. Candidates have to login on the JEE Advanced application portal with JEE Main application number and password. Candidates have to furnish some details in the registration form. JEE Main details in the form will be prefilled from the JEE Main database. Next candidates need to enter the scanned documents as per the specifications. Then as the last step, candidates have to remit the application fee as applicable. This complete the JEE Advanced application process.

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for M.Sc in Mathematics is Class 12 with a minimum aggregate set by the college and the accepted entrance exam is IIT JAM. MSc degree is offered in various specialisations like Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Cognitive Science. Application to MSc courses at IIT Gandhinagar usually begins in December. The application fee for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates is INR 150 and for all other categories, it is INR 300.
