Hello, Yes, you are eligible to write IIT JAM Exam. To appear in IIT JAM Exam you only need a graduation degree in any discipline from any recognised university. But during your graduation, you should have studied Physics for at least two years/ four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/ two semesters. Only then you are eligible to apply for M.Sc. To appear in IIT JAM Exam you need to first score minimum 55% marks if you are from General/OBC categories and 50% marks for SC, ST categories in your B.Sc. Candidates can find below the JAM eligibility criteria which are common for each programmes across institutes for appearing in the postgraduate Science admission test.
1. The candidates should have secured at least 55 per cent marks in aggregate of subjects including languages and subsidiaries of all the years combined. Those however belonging to SC/ST and PwD categories need to secure at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate of the subjects.
2. Candidates need to note that equivalence of marks in case of grades in letter/ CGPA (and not in percentage of marks) will be decided by the participating institutes of JAM.

IIT JAM physics is a tough exam to crack complemented by limited number of seats. Self study will be sufficient only if you are a BORN GENIUS. Syllabus as well as pattern has changed drastically.
