Hello,
Joint seat allocation authority every year declares cut offs. Initially expected and subsequently final cutoff marks for admission to IIT/NIT, etc. You will have to wait to know this for admission in 2017. The cutoff for the category to which you belong was around 50 for the year 2016.

For the current year, it is unpredictable, but yes, till last year one of my friends got mining in the last phase, being a general candidate. So, considering the current methodology you may need to score above 220-240 to get NIT-K for general.

Hello Salman,
Merely reading books is not going to help anybody. What is of most importance is the ability to think logically. Try to understand the concepts being taught in 12th. Another important aspect is the ability to answer MCQs in stipulated time. There are different agencies offering their services in both of these aspects. Select any one of these.

Hello Harshit,
Till last year, marks obtained in 12th were normalised, added with score in JEE Mains and final score used to be declared. However, from this year onwards, marks obtained in 12th will not be considered in declaring result of JEE Mains. Hence, we can expect some variation in ranking versus marks of JEE with respect to last year's status. However, as a rule of thumb you should get at least 180 marks to have rank of up to 10000.

Hi,
Coaching marks don't play any role. Coaching tests only test whether you are sincere or not in your studies. If your concepts are clearer and if you are more regular in your studies, you will get above 250 marks in your coaching. So, don't waste your time and don't worry about the result from now onwards. Give your best input and then only you can get the desired output.
All the best.

Hi,
First of all, cutoff cannot be assumed before the exam because it will be decided by board after the exam and results in the previous year. Above 90 percentage is required for DTU.
