A 12th is very much important and mandatory to get a degree course in any discipline. So, unfortunately, you won't be able to pursue a course in journalism. You must complete class 12th for the same.

The best way to start is to know what you are good at.
You could try to cast as many matches as possible, or be the most entertaining person on stream, but if you are not sure what your strengths are while doing a commentary, it would be preferred that you put in the effort to master one thing, than to do a lot more others at 50% capability.
There's a few requirements expected of the best commentators in the industry at the moment, be it as a 'color' commentator, or the one who is more of an analyst and strong in the technicality of the game itself.

There is no such course in SXCKOL.
Journalism is an ancillary subject with B.Sc in mass communication & videography and other BA honors degrees, such as Bengali, English, Pol. Sc. & Sociology.

BA in mass communication does not have any subject related to political science but a person having knowledge of political science will surely have an edge over other candidates pursuing the same program. If you aspire to become a journalism, especially a news reporter, anchor, or of any other profile in the print of TV industry, you knowledge of political science keeps you a step ahead of people fitting in the same profile. Unfortunately, you cannot get admission in a college to pursue BA in journalism through lateral entry. It is simply unacceptable.

Yes, it's almost like that. However, some people have very important role of luck combined with their talent to get a job as a News Anchor without becoming a News Reporter.
It's a pretty difficult job to get, but the path is somewhat straight forward:
1 - With a degree in Journalism; get a job as a reporter at a TV station in the middle of nowhere. Do anything and everything to get on air as much as possible.
2 - Compile a reel of all your best times on-air, submit this to TV stations at slightly less middle of nowhere markets.
