To get A+ in the DHSE Kerala plus two exam, students should secure an aggregate percentage between 90 and 100. The grade position for those students is Outstanding. Percentage between 80-89 is considered as A grade. B+ grade is awarded to those scoring between 70-79 percentage. 60-69 percentage is considered as B grade. 50-59 percentage is considered as C+ grade. 40-49 percentage is considered as C grade. 30-39 percentage is considered as D+ grade. 20-29 percentage is considered as D grade. Less than 20 percent is given E grade.

Each exam of Kerala DHSE will be conducted for a duration of 2 to 2.5 hours in offline mode. The examination of every subject has three components, i.e. terminal examination (TE), continuous examination (CE) and practical examination (PE). A candidate will be required to secure a grade of D+ or above, with a minimum of 30% aggregate score in CE, PE, and TE, when taken together, and at least 30% in TE separately, to pass any subject.
