• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, or IB).
• Minimum marks required in Class 12:

General / OBC / EWS: 60% aggregate

SC / ST / Reserved Categories: 50% aggregate

• Students appearing for Class 12 exams in 2025 can also apply but must submit their final marks before admission.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2005. No upper age limit for applying.
• Candidates with a valid CLAT / LSAT score were exempted from VITLEE, but they still had to apply.

AILET serves as the main admission entrance exam for students wishing to study at National Law University (NLU) in Delhi. Many influential institutions which run law courses use AILET test results to evaluate candidates for their admission process. The Army Institute of Law located in Mohali has achieved a 30th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 rankings for law colleges. AILET scores are accepted for entrance to BITS Law School in Mumbai as well as ISME Law College.
